About This

  • Brand new boxed. 100% handmade with quality natural rattan cane sourced from Indonesia. Comes with essential starter tools for starting your sourdough advanture.
  • Our Banneton is a woven basket used to support the dough while it rises during the proofing process which is smooth, less splinters, eco-friendly, food-grade, and non-toxic.
  • Allows for proper airflow: Rattan baskets have an open weave pattern that allows air to circulate around the dough during proofing. This helps to prevent the dough from becoming too moist and sticky, and allows it to rise evenly.
  • Absorbs excess moisture: Rattan baskets have natural moisture-absorbing properties, which can help to remove excess moisture from the dough during proofing. This helps to create a better texture and crust in the final baked bread.
  • Provides support and shape: Rattan baskets are sturdy and provide support to the dough as it rises. This helps the bread to maintain its shape and prevents it from spreading out too much.
